PSEO Students

New PSEO students will receive an email with instructions on how to complete online orientation (in D2L Brightspace) once they have been admitted to the college and have received their reading/English and math placements.

After completing the final quiz in the online orientation, students may register for an on-campus PSEO Advising & Registration Session at either the Cambridge or Coon Rapids campus. The final Fall 2025 sessions will be held on:

  • Wednesday, August 13 at the Coon Rapids campus

  • Thursday, August 14 at the Cambridge campus


Students who do not attend one of these sessions will be required to participate in Orientation Express starting Monday, August 18. Additional details will be provided closer to that date.

These 90-minute sessions are designed specifically for new PSEO students. Following a brief presentation, students will work with Academic Advisors to select courses for registration. Please note that guest seating may be limited.

New PSEO students must meet with an Academic Advisor before registering for their first-semester courses.

How to Prepare for Advising & Registration

Apply and Be Accepted to Anoka-Ramsey
Ensure you have applied and been accepted. If you need assistance, call 763-433-1100. 
     Haven't applied yet? Complete our free application. The deadline for PSEO students to apply and submit documentation for Fall 2025 was July 1. The deadline for PSEO students to apply and submit documentation for Spring 2026 is December 1.

Know Your StarID and Password 
Your StarID is your login for all campus technology. 

Meet with Your High School Counselor 
Confirm which graduation requirements you plan to complete at Anoka-Ramsey and what you will take at your high school. It is your responsibility to know your high school graduation requirements. 

Send Official Transcripts (if applicable) 
If you’ve taken previous college coursework (including PSEO, AP, CLEP, or IB credits), send official transcripts to Anoka-Ramsey.  
     If you haven’t taken college courses, you can skip this step. 

Familiarize Yourself with Anoka-Ramsey Student Technology 
Access information on essential technology, including your student email, D2L Brightspace, and campus WiFi. 

Course Registration

Fall 2025: 

  • Courses start Monday, August 25. The last day to add or drop most courses without penalty is Friday, August 29
  • Registration for admitted PSEO students who have completed placement and online orientation is still open. New PSEO students must attend an on-campus PSEO Advising and Registration session before being able to register for courses.

PSEO Student Registration: 

  • First Semester: New PSEO students must register with the assistance of an advisor. 
  • Subsequent Semesters: After their first semester, PSEO students can register independently, provided they have submitted an updated PSEO Notice of Student Registration (NOSR) form. An updated form is required every semester a student attends as PSEO.
