  • Yes, you!

Peer tutors are Anoka-Ramsey students who excel in their course work and possess skills and qualities that make them valuable tutors. In addition, peer tutors have been recommended by Anoka-Ramsey faculty as demonstrating superior subject knowledge.

Your success in a recent class may be valuable to students who will take that same class in the future. If you feel like you would enjoy tutoring your peers in a subject where you've been particularly successful, please follow the recommendations for becoming a peer tutor.

How to Become a Peer Tutor

    • One way to become a peer tutor is to receive a recommendation from an instructor. You may speak with an instructor in the field of study that you would like to tutor.
    • You may also contact any of our tutoring centers to learn more about peer tutoring.
    • If you are recommended by a professor to become a peer tutor, all tutors must complete the necessary peer tutor training and the required face-to-face training sessions on your campus.

  • Anoka-Ramsey Community College (ARCC) students are able to check out a calculator to use for a class that requires one.

The procedures for checking out a calculator have changed due to our current off campus, online classes. Calculator check out will be on a first come, first serve basis due to the limited number of calculators available. Graphing and Scientific calculators are able to be checked out.

If you would like to check out a calculator, please fill out the form below to put your name on the Calculator check-out waiting list. Once the Math Skills Center (MSC) has determined the need and availability of calculators you will receive an email with information regarding how, when, and where you can check out your calculator. If you are unable to come to the Coon Rapids campus, it may be possible to have a calculator shipped to you. Shipping availability may be limited.
