Fall 2023/Summer 2023 General & Transfer Student

Please select the heading that reflects the term you intend to start courses with Anoka-Ramsey Community College, then follow the steps listed.

The Summer 2023 term begins May 30, 2023, and the Fall 2023 term begins August 21, 2023.

  • FIRST, IDENTIFY IF YOU ARE A VISITING STUDENT OR A GENERAL STUDENT.

    You are considered a Visiting Student if you are currently enrolled at another college/university and only plan to take courses with Anoka-Ramsey in the summer semester and then transfer the credit back to your primary college/university, then you need to follow the steps located at:

     

    You are considered a General Student if you plan to take courses and earn a degree with Anoka-Ramsey starting in Summer 2023, Step 1 is to complete the Online Orientation Request Survey. Once you complete Step 1, in 1-2 business days, you will be contacted via email with information on how to access and complete Step 2: Online Orientation.  

     

    During Step 2, you will receive information regarding student support and technology resources, degree and course planning, academic policies, and financial aid/payment procedures.  

     

    Complete Step 1: ONLINE ORIENTATION REQUEST SURVEY, and you will receive information on Step 2: Online Orientation in 1-2 business days.

  • Step 1 is to complete the Online Orientation Request Survey. Once you complete Step 1, in 1-2 business days, you will be contacted via email with information on how to access and complete Step 2: Online Orientation.  

     

    During Step 2, you will receive information regarding student support and technology resources, degree and course planning, academic policies, and financial aid/payment procedures.  

     

    Complete Step 1: ONLINE ORIENTATION REQUEST SURVEY for General & Transfer students and you will receive information on Step 2: Online Orientation in 1-2 business days.  

  • Ensure you have applied and been accepted to Anoka-Ramsey. 

    Know your StarID and password. 

    • Your StarID is your campus login for all technology. Click here if you need to look up your StarID or reset your password. 

    If you have taken previous college coursework (including PSEO credits, AP credits, IB credits, etc.), send official transcripts to Anoka-Ramsey. 

    • Please click here for specific instructions on sending transcripts to Anoka-Ramsey (Item 2). 
    • Students who do not have previous college coursework do not need to complete this step. 

    If you plan to use federal financial aid to help pay for college, start the financial aid process.

    • Go to www.fafsa.gov and complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
      • If you plan to start in Summer 2023, complete the 2022-2023 FAFSA.
      • If you plan to start in Fall 2023, complete the 2023-2024 FAFSA.
      • Anoka-Ramsey's school code is 002332.
    • Visit the Anoka-Ramsey Financial Aid Office if you need additional assistance.
