Explore your literary interests by attending readings by well-known writers at our Cambridge Campus' Minnesota Writer Series or our Coon Rapids Campus' Two Rivers Reading Series.

Active student writers produce several student publications: Spirit River Review; Rapids Review; and The Campus Eye, the student newspaper.

Art Events

Try your hand as an artist or simply check out the art work and two art sales on campus.

Both campuses display professional and student art in mediums such as glassblowing, ceramics, photography, painting, sculpture and more.

Music Events

Anoka-Ramsey offers regular musical performances that are free and open to the public.

Enjoy the wind band, string orchestra, concert choir, jazz ensemble, guitar ensemble, and several smaller chamber ensembles.

Peterson Community Room

The Juanita Peterson Community Room (G202) at the Cambridge Campus is a proscenium-style, intimate theatre with 145-plus seats and wheelchair access for four patrons.

The stage supports a variety of theatre experiences and offers students a challenging environment in an intimate actor/audience setting.

A proscenium-style theatre on the Coon Rapids Campus houses 320 continental seats and wheelchair space for 8. With only 12 rows, no seat is further than 50 feet from the stage. The 40-foot wide by 48-foot deep stage boasts 20 feet of wing space for intimate box sets, full-scale musicals, and even opera or ballet.

Recently-renovated, the Music Building on the Coon Rapids Campus offers two large rehearsal halls, one small rehearsal room for ensembles, a dual piano/MAC lab with music writing and editing software, and eight practice rooms for individual practice.

Visual Arts Center

Located along the scenic Mississippi National River Recreation Area, this 28,976 square-foot facility was completed in 2011, designed to maximize daylight and stunning river views from studios and gallery spaces. The design, inspired by industrial architecture with exposed steel provides a minimalist backdrop.

Legacy Room

Housed within the Student Center (SC270-272) building on the Coon Rapids Campus, this room is often used for college and community meetings and various student events. It accommodates 350 people.
