Students can meet their wellness requirements – and discover strategies for a more active, healthy life from the Health, Physical Education, Exercise Science & Recreation (HPER) Department faculty.

Who We Are

Students with a passion for fitness and health can pursue an associate's or bachelor's degree in Exercise Science. Students can also earn an associate's in Community Health. Fitness Specialist and Coaching certifications are additional options.

The Health, Physical Education, Exercise Science & Recreation (HPER) Department’s courses offer inspiration (Wellness for Life, Yoga), lifesaving skills (First Aid and CPR) and high-energy fun (Weight Training, Bowling).

Students who are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in health and wellness can get a head start at Anoka-Ramsey in community health, fitness specialist and coaching.
