Service Awards

The Anoka-Ramsey Community College Service Award Committee has developed the following guidelines for the distribution of college Service Awards to employees to align with Strategic Plan Goal 3: Foster a Vibrant, Sustainable Organization.

The college's Service Award program has been established to recognize employees for their outstanding service to Anoka-Ramsey Community College and their long-term commitment and dedication to the college. It is funded by the College President in collaboration with the Human Resources Department.

An employee will be considered for an Anoka-Ramsey Community College Service Award if he/she meets the following criteria:

  • Currently employed as a full-time or part-time employee at the college
    • Has completed 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 or 40 years of service by June 30 (end of fiscal year).
  • Previous service at Anoka Technical College will be included. Previous years of service will not be reinstated if employee returns to the College after a break in service of more than one calendar year. Service Award Committee may be involved in the recommendation of the award.
  • Service must be completed by June 30 (end of the fiscal year) for the Service Award Presentation in the Spring Semester.

The Service Award process and timeline:
  1. Human Resources Department creates a list based on employees’ start dates and sends to the Service Award Committee at the beginning of fall semester.
  2. The Service Award Committee reviews the information, and the Human Resources Department prepares memos that are sent to notify the eligible employees of the award one month prior to the ceremony. The Human Resources Department creates an internal requisition and orders the award packets corresponding to the employees' years of service (see table below).
