Students present 'Living Constitution' at Anoka-Ramsey on Sept. 15
September 06, 2017
Students and faculty will present the "Living Constitution" on Friday, Sept. 15, 9 to 10 am, in the Legacy Room at Anoka-Ramsey Community College. Drawing upon their lessons in the Introduction to Government class, students will act out the embodiment of several amendments from the Bill of Rights.
The event is designed to educate and entertain, while the Constitution “comes alive” through demonstrations by Anoka-Ramsey students. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to complete Constitution Day trivia for a chance to win prizes. During the event, the Student Senate will also assist college students who would like to register to vote.
This event is organized by the Political Science Department and the Student Activities. It is being held in advance of Constitution Day, a national observance that falls on the following Sunday. Constitution Day commemorates the formation and signing of the U.S. Constitution in Sept. 17, 1787.
