As a public college, Anoka-Ramsey welcomes the public to significant portions of our campuses. Some areas, however, are restricted due to privacy concerns, operational needs or safety considerations, such as classrooms in session, private employee offices, secured spaces, etc. Federal agents, including those from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) are subject to the same access restrictions as other members of the public and may not access private spaces without permission or a proper judicial warrant.
In the event federal agents arrive on campus
- Remain calm to avoid escalating a situation.
- Do not approach the agents but instead contact the Office of Public Safety, as they will be the first line of contact with agents.
- Do not attempt to physically intervene with agents.
Emergency Response Systems
Anoka-Ramsey has emergency response protocols and uses Alert Aware and the Star Alert Emergency Notification System to send emergency alert notifications based on the circumstances. All enrolled students and employees at Anoka-Ramsey are automatically registered to receive emergency alert notifications. Be sure to check your email regularly and update your notification preferences at staralertarccatc.portal.finalsiteconnect.com.
