Anoka-Ramsey Community College will host virtual and in-person events to mark its annual OSCARS (Outstanding Scholarship, Creative Activities and Research Symposium). The event is intended to showcase the high-quality learning that students engage with as a result of undergraduate research, project-based learning and scholarship/creative endeavors specific to their field.
The 2023 OSCARS will be a hybrid event, with virtual and in-person events taking place throughout the week of April 26 to May 3. Event details:

Virtual: April 26-May 3

Cambridge Campus LIVE: May 3, 1:00-3:00 PM
The event is free and open to the public to attend in person and virtually, visit Anokaramsey.edu/OSCARS
This year’s event to feature:
- Workshops and/or panel discussions for students
- Poster sessions on both campuses
- Asynchronous presentations of undergraduate research and creative works
- Themed days to highlight disciplines and initiatives at the colleges
- Social receptions, concerts and/or movie screenings
“By hosting the faculty and student events together, it gives our faculty an additional opportunity to be a role models for students, share their work and reiterate that we’re all in this together,” says Kristen Genet, Biology instructor and OSCARS event founder. “We hope it empowers and motivates our students to be equally proud of their own work as well because they are doing some really amazing things.”
