Mixing Media: Listening to Art, Visualizing Music

College Music and Art Departments invite the public to join them for a music recital and art reception to follow the recital. The juried show of music-themed student artwork is currently on display in the second floor hallway of the Music Department and will remain on display through Dec. 1.


High School Art Department Faculty Exhibition

A display of new work by local high school art department faculty members: Jennifer Peterson-Cramer, David Hart, Peter Mesick, Kim Blevins, Diane Gronewold, Kevan Nitzberg, Chad Manders, Kari Halker-Saathoff, Ted Mitshalis, Suzanne Hughes, Dane Hodges, Diane Scully, Daniel Prody, Angela Heida, David Hart, Sarah Hjelmberg, Pat Undis, and Kimberly Schenk.


Luke Erickson Photography Exhibition

A display of new photography work by Luke Erickson, a photographer, curator and educator who lives in Minneapolis. He is the Exhibition of Photography Foundation Director and recipient of a 2015 Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative Grant.

Nikki Vahle-Schneider Exhibition

Cambridge Campus Gallery

A display of prints by college Art Department Adjunct Faculty Nikki Vahle-Schneider. Her personal print work and the collaborative work celebrate the everyday and sometimes mundane activities of life in a sentimental, satirical, and irreverent manner. Her wood engravings and woodcuts have been shown in England, Canada, South Africa and Japan.


Other Art Faculty Events

As part of a collaborative team, College Art Department Adjunct Faculty Aaron Dysart has created The Plume Project, a series of lighting experiments on Saint Paul’s downtown steam plume. Lead by a coalition of independent artists in partnership with the District Energy heating and cooling plant, and partially supported by the Knight Foundation’s Knight Art Challenge Grant, watch for three temporary projects on display throughout 2015-2016 winter season.
