To celebrate and showcase the work of acclaimed American potter and educator Warren MacKenzie the Art Department at Anoka-Ramsey is hosting three events this fall.

Warren MacKenzie Collection Gallery Talks

Ceramic Demonstration Workshop

Monday, Oct. 27
8 am to 3 pm

All events are free and open to the public.

About Warren MacKenzie and the collection

Warren MacKenzie (1924-2018) was an American potter known for simple yet elegant, functional pottery and unwavering commitment to making affordable pottery for domestic use. His work has shown worldwide. Warren also served as an educator at the University of Minnesota, eager to share his knowledge.

Anoka-Ramsey received a collection of work from MacKenzie. The donation, a gift from Bill and Horty Shieber, was made for students and the public to enjoy.
