Veterans Services at Anoka-Ramsey Community College was recently recognized as a Top School in the 2017 Guide to Colleges & Universities by Military Advanced Education & Transition (MAE&T) and as a Military Friendly School by Victory Media.
The guide measures best practices in military and veteran education presents through a questionnaire of the military-supportive policies at private, public, for-profit, not-for-profit, four-year and two-year colleges. It is published annually in the December issue of Military Advanced Education &Transition, and as a searchable, online database. Visit www.mae-kmi.com for online access to MAE&T’s 2017 Guide to Colleges and Universities.
The Military Friendly® recognition is a nationally recognized resource on post-military education and employment options for veterans and military families. Though a survey of thousands of institutions, it captures best practices in recruitment and retention of military students. Victory Media, the originator of Military Friendly® recognition announces its lists of Military Friendly® Employers and Military Friendly® Schools annually. “I believe these two recognitions—a Top School and a Military Friendly School—stem directly from Anoka-Ramsey’s priority to assist veterans and their families,” said Jeffrey Pool, college Veteran Advisor. “From the college president to all faculty and staff, the college is committed to ensuring that our veterans and their families get the education, resources and support they need to be successful in civilian life.”
