Cambridge Campus Nursing students offer free, public Health Fair Nov. 21

Nursing students at Anoka-Ramsey Community College Cambridge Campus are conducting a health fair:

Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015
9 am to 1 pm
Cambridge Campus Rm G201

This event is free and open to the public.

This community event will provide health and wellness education and information for people of all ages. There will be hands on activities for all age groups, prize drawings and giveaways at various booths, healthy snacks and much more.

Free activities include:

  • Blood pressure screenings
  • BMI or waist/hip screenings
  • Demonstration of CPR (adult and infant)
  • Demonstration of AED
  • Demonstration of teeth brushing/flossing
  • Hand massage by our volunteer nursing students
  • Healing touch sessions
  • Empathy pregnancy belly (simulation of being pregnant)
  • Self-assessments (using breast and testicle models)
  • Information on substance abuse/DARE handouts presented by DARE
  • instructor/police officer
  • Nutrition (using MyPlate)
  • Fitness-Jump roping and hula hooping for kids, with prizes
  • Binder Pouches handouts for kids
  • Toothbrushes/toothpaste handouts
  • Pen handouts
  • Water bottle handouts
  • Nail file with mirror handouts
