Anoka-Ramsey’s Student Senate Received a Star Campus Designation
May 02, 2025
Anoka-Ramsey’s Coon Rapids Student Senate received a Star Campus designation for the 2024-2025 school year.
Student Senate received this award due to fulfilling LeadMN’s Star Campus requirements. Specifically they are recognized for their efforts in the Get Out to Vote initiative where they held many events focused on voter registration, voter information, and raising awareness on campus this past fall. Students also submitted nominations for various awards presented at the LeadMN Spring General Assembly such as Student Leader of the Year, Advisor of the Year, and Governing Council Member of the Year. The completion of and reporting of these tasks qualified Student Senate for the Star Campus designation for this year.
Learn more about Star Campus:
The Star Campus program was an initiative first created by the cabinet of 2009-2010 with the intent to reward the most active campuses of LeadMN. The idea was that Student Senates who are fulfilling their commitment to students on their campuses and LeadMN would become a “Star Campus,” serving as an example for campus governments striving to better serve their constituencies. Every Student Senate represented by LeadMN is eligible to participate in the Star Campus program.
