Anoka-Ramsey hosts leaders for listening session and discussion of 2023 Minnesota State legislative session budget request priorities
September 30, 2022
Anoka-Ramsey Community College hosted a listening session Wednesday, Sept. 28 with Minnesota State leadership to discuss priorities as Minnesota State prepares its FY 2024-2025 budget request.
The purpose of the listening session was to gather input from college and community stakeholders to inform the Minnesota State biennial budget request that the Board of Trustees will submit for consideration during the 2023 legislative session.
Attendees shared concerns about meeting demands for a highly skilled workforce, both on campus and in surrounding communities, lowering financial and other barriers to access for students and a helping our community meet a growing need for mental health resources.
The session was one of 12 happening at the colleges and universities of Minnesota State. Feedback from the session will be incorporated into the Minnesota State Board of Trustees’ biennial budget request, scheduled to be submitted to the Minnesota Legislature at the start of the 2023 session.
