The event is sponsored by NASA’s Minnesota Space Grant Consortium. Anoka-Ramsey’s team will join five other schools in the Rocketry Challenge.
High-powered rockets differ from common model rockets in both size and power. Because of these differences, the launch of high-powered rockets is regulated by organizations like the Federal Aviation Administration.
Anoka-Ramsey’s team worked through numerous aspects of design and development, creating plans, developing and running flight simulations and, ultimately, building their rocket. Prior to a scheduled launch, the team will present their rocket to challenge officials for review and safety checks.
