Yes!  An internship is pre-professional work experience that offers students the opportunity to explore various career fields and interest areas.  Internships are designed to give students a realistic introduction to a chosen career field and work environment.  There are many benefits to on-the-job experience, such as, narrowing career choices and focusing on specific career goals, gaining transferable skills, building a professional network, and becoming a more marketable professional in a competitive job market. Students will explore their field of interest, investigate local internship opportunities to secure a placement site and work with a counselor to earn credit for work experiences.  All interns must register for CAOR 2297 prior to starting an internship.  Interested students may meet with Melissa Schultz to discuss internship opportunities.  Appointments can be made at the Information desk or by calling 763-433-1240.
