Congratulations! You are almost done!

All associate degree graduates are invited to participate in the Commencement Ceremony at the end of spring semester to celebrate your hard work and achievements! 

The deadlines to submit your graduation application are:

  • July 1 for Fall Semester
  • November 1 for Spring Semester
  • April 1 for Summer Semester

All students who have submitted graduation applications for fall, spring or summer are welcome to participate in the spring ceremony.

  • To earn a degree through Anoka-Ramsey Community College, at least twenty (20) semester credits must be earned at Anoka-Ramsey.

    Students transferring in with at least eight semester credits from another Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) system institution or from the University of Minnesota may reduce the residency requirement from twenty (20) to twelve (12) credits.

  • NOTE: Information will be updated as necessary. Students are encouraged to check their college email and this website regularly.

    Students who have completed their degree requirements in fall semester and students who plan to complete their degree requirements in spring or summer semester are eligible and encouraged to participate in the annual commencement ceremony.

    To participate, follow these steps:

    1. Submit a Graduation Application.
      After you submit a graduation application and met the graduation criteria, you will receive an invitation letter and a Participation Card for the commencement ceremony.
    2. Submit a completed Participation Card so we know you plan to attend the commencement ceremony.
    3. Buy a graduate cap, tassel and gown set at the college bookstore.
      • If you participate in the ceremony, you need to wear cap, tassel and gown.
      • You will receive two free commencement invitations when you purchase your cap, tassel and gown.
      • You can also purchase additional commencement invitations, Honors Braid (Cambridge Campus only, and meet eligibility criteria), and Phi Theta Kappa Tassel and Stole (must meet eligibility criteria).
    4. Confirm or update your current mailing address online.
    5. Watch for additional information regarding commencement ceremony based on your home campus (Cambridge or Coon Rapids).
      • The opportunity to have your photography taken.
  • Diplomas are ordered for all graduates at the end of the term  after all applicants have been evaluated.

    • Fall graduate diplomas are mailed in February
    • Spring graduate diplomas are mailed in July
    • Summer graduate diplomas in mid-September

    Diplomas are mailed to the address on file, so be sure your address information online is up-to-date.

    Diploma covers are given out at the commencement ceremony.
