Course registration now open for the summer and fall semesters
April 19, 2017
Open registration has begun for Anoka-Ramsey Community College’s 2017 summer and fall semesters.
Anoka-Ramsey’s student-focus, teaching excellence, research opportunities and low-cost tuition launched the college into a top 10 finalist spot for the 2017 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, a prestigious recognition of high achievement and performance in America’s community colleges.
All new students, including new PSEO students, must attend an orientation session prior to registering for classes. This session takes two to three hours, depending on your need. To attend a session students must sign up for a time, there is no walk-in availability.
During orientation students will learn about college policies, resources, procedures, receive a student photo ID card, meet fellow students and have individual time with an advisor to help with registering for a specific degree or program.
“Academic Advisors are here to guide you in your college journey,” said Cat Hillyard, an academic advisor at Anoka-Ramsey’s Coon Rapids Campus. “Now is the time to come see us. We can help you figure out what you’ve got completed and what you have left. We can help you find the classes you need before they fill up. We can connect you with resources if you’ve got questions about financial aid, transferring, choosing a career and more.”
Every student has a personal academic advisor who meets with students each semester and create an achievable plan with great courses.
“Students can schedule an appointment with their assigned advisor by calling 763-433-1188,” said Brian Wollum, Director of Academic Advising.
