College Level Examination Program (CLEP Testing)

Due to our current situation regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19), CLEP Testing is suspended until further notice. Visit AnokaRamsey.edu/coronavirus to learn more about Anoka-Ramsey's response to the situation.

The College Level Examination Program (CLEP) provides an opportunity for students of any age to earn college credits by achieving qualifying scores on any of the CLEP exams. CLEP testing is available at the Coon Rapids Campus Testing Center by appointment.

Why take CLEP exams?

  • Save time. Get college credit for what you’ve learned through independent study, advanced high school courses, noncredit adult courses, or professional development.
  • Save money. Compare the cost of a CLEP exam fee: $85 registration fee plus a $20 administration fee to the cost of tuition. CLEP exams are free to active military service members.
  • Satisfy a proficiency requirement. Demonstrate you’ve already mastered the content of college math or a foreign language.
