Language Placement
Choosing the right language course is key to your success. Anoka-Ramsey Community College offers courses in French, German and Spanish. Before registering for courses, it is strongly recommended to take a placement test.
A general guideline is that one semester of college-level language study is equivalent to about two years of high school study. However, placement can vary based on factors such as:
- How long it has been since you studied or used the language
- Differences in curriculum and teaching methods between schools
- Your current language proficiency
