- Attend a 45-minute Conversation Partner orientation session.
- Complete an application during the orientation sessions (see dates in right sidebar).
- Meet with your assigned partner one hour per week for 10 weeks. You are welcome to choose your own topics or pick from a list provided list.
- Turn in a log of meeting dates, times at the end of the semester.
Just show up. You don't need to sign-up ahead of time.
Attending a Conversation Partners orientation is the easiest way to start the program. If you are unable to attend, please contact Chris McCarthy, Conversation Partners Coordinator, to find a time that suits your schedule.
The Conversation Partners Coordinator, Beata Pueschner, will match you with a partner and contact you and your partner by email.
Your first meeting location will be noted in the email you receive from the Conversation Partners Coordinator, Beata Pueschner.
You and your partner may choose where to meet after your first meeting. Be sure to choose a location, date and time before you end your first meeting.
Try to be on time and to give your Conversation Partner 10 to 15 minutes to arrive. If you can't find your partner, try calling or texting that person.
If you are not able to find your Conversation Partner, be sure to reschedule a meeting within the same week.
It's best to contact your Conversation Partner as soon as you know that you will not be able to attend your scheduled meeting. Be sure to reschedule a time as soon as possible so you do not fall behind in your conversations.
All orientation sessions are located in the Riverview Room (SC200).
