Anoka-Ramsey Community College is an open-entry institution offering career and technical programs in the following areas of study:

Anoka-Ramsey Community College is committed to a policy of nondiscrimination in employment and education opportunity. Harassment of an individual or group on the basis of race, sex, color, creed, religion, age, national origin, disability, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, sexual orientation, or membership or activity in a local commission has no place in a learning or work environment and is prohibited. Sexual violence has no place in a learning or work environment. Further, Anoka-Ramsey Community College shall work to eliminate violence in all its forms. Physical contact by designated system, college and university staff members may be appropriate if necessary to avoid physical harm to persons or property.

Lack of English skills will not be a barrier to admission or participation. In order to eliminate barriers we take appropriate measures to assess each student’s ability to participate and benefit through placement testing and counseling. Based on assessment and counseling, students are then provided with campus services or a referral to community services to be better prepared for successful participation.

Public Disclosure In the State of Minnesota, laws exist to ensure the government is open and that the public generally has a right to access records and information possessed by State government. Security Statement Minnesota State has taken a number of steps to safeguard the integrity of its data and prevent unauthorized information that is maintained it our computer systems. In the course of ensuring network security and consistent services for all users, we employee software programs to do such things as monitor network traffic, identify unauthorized access or access to nonpublic information, detect computer viruses and other software that might damage our computers or network, and monitor and tune the performance of our network. In the course of such monitoring, these programs may detect information such as e-mail headers, addresses from network packets, and other information. We use industry-standard software tools to control access to specific applications and services and to protect data that is transmitted electronically to us.

Anoka-Ramsey Community College is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (NC-SARA) which allows us to provide distance learning programs (both online and in the form of supervised field experiences) and coursework to residents of states other than Minnesota.  NC-SARA membership, however, does not grant reciprocity or exempt us from state professional licensing requirements.  As a result, licensing requirements in Minnesota may not be recognized as sufficient to obtain a license in any other state.  The only state that is not a member of SARA is California.  To learn more about SARA, visit nc-sara.org 

Anoka-Ramsey Community College complies with the U.S. Department of Education legislation regarding disclosures for and enrollment in professional licensure programs. These regulations are published in the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations.

As of 1 July 2024, 34 CFR 668.14(b)(32) and 34 CFR 668.43(a)(5)(v) require that professional licensure programs communicate both publicly and directly with prospective and current students about whether the program meets or does not meet the requirements for professional licensure in each state and U.S. territory. Additionally, student location is determined by college policy in accordance with 34 CFR 600.9(c)(2).

Sexual Violence Policy and Statement

The 1B.3 Sexual Violence Policy of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system addresses sexual violence/sexual assault. This policy states that sexual violence is an intolerable intrusion into the most personal and private rights of an individual, and is prohibited. Sexual violence includes a continuum of conduct that includes sexual assault, non-forcible sex acts, dating and relationship violence, stalking, as well as aiding acts of sexual violence.

This policy applies to all Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (this includes Anoka-Ramsey Community College) students and employees and to others, as appropriate. Minnesota State Colleges and Universities is committed to eliminating sexual violence in all forms and will take appropriate remedial action against any individual found responsible for acts in violation of this policy. Acts of sexual violence may also constitute violations of criminal or civil law, or other Board Policies that may require separate proceedings.

To further its commitment against sexual violence, Minnesota State Colleges and Universities provides reporting options, an investigative and disciplinary process, and prevention training or other related services as appropriate.

Anoka-Ramsey Community College offers Counseling Services for those that may have experienced sexual violence. Our counselors are trained to provide victims of sexual violence with mental health screenings, provide recommendations or referrals to other health services, and overall assist victims of sexual violence and their success at the college. Our counselors are also confidential resources, which means victims of sexual violence may go to them for support without concerns that their conversations would be shared with anyone, including law enforcement.

Student Consumer Information

The Student Right-To-Know Act is a federal law that requires higher education institutions to disclose certain information to students.  

Federal regulations specify how to calculate the graduation and transfer rates. The rates consider only first-time, full-time Anoka-Ramsey students who are degree-seeking, and the rates look at graduation or transfer out within three years.  

The Fall 2021 data cohort includes 641 first-time, full-time, degree-seeking students at Anoka-Ramsey. This represents 6% of all students enrolled at the college in Fall 2021. 

  • The graduation rate for Anoka-Ramsey was 30%.
  • The transfer-out rate for Anoka-Ramsey was 36%.
  • The combined graduation rate and transfer-out rate for Anoka-Ramsey was 66%. The national average combined rate for similar colleges was 51 percent.

Anoka-Ramsey Community College encourages all eligible students, staff and faculty to vote in local, state and national elections! Anoka-Ramsey is not required to provide voter registration information because Minnesota permits eligible voters to register at their polling place on the Election Day.
