Anoka-Ramsey Community College is prepared for a safe return to fall semester — starting Aug. 24 — and ready to provide students access to hundreds of high-quality, college courses and programs.
We’re committed to decision-making that prioritizes community safety and offering an extraordinary academic experience for our students. We will continue to evaluate information and update plans, policies and procedures as needed, based on circumstance, guidance and best practices.
We require all visitors to campus, including students, staff, faculty, contractors and vendors, complete and submit a COVID-19 Self-Assessment. Assessments must be completed every day an individual plans to be on campus.
Those coming to campus should also familiarize themselves with our new procedures which include, self-monitoring, screening, cleaning and sanitizing, masking and social distancing practices.
Masks/cloth face coverings must be worn indoors by all individuals coming to campus. Accommodations may be available for those with conditions impacted by wearing a traditional mask/face covering. To request accommodation to the mask/face covering policy, visit Mask/Face Covering Accommodations.
To further support safety and hygiene practices, hand sanitizer stations and disinfectant tools will be readily available on campus.
Building access will be limited and available only through designated doors during designated hours. Visitors are encouraged to practice social distancing, maintaining a minimum distance of six feet from others. Campuses are closed to the public.
Classrooms will be scheduled and equipped to allow for staggered entry and exit on campus, and to meet current guidance on gathering size and social distancing.

We’re still delivering high-quality courses and student-first services.
Most classes and services at Anoka-Ramsey will be delivered remotely. Classes and course components that require in-person instruction can meet on campus, following the colleges’ Back to Campus Preparedness Plan. Students should review “Delivery Method” when registering for courses in eServices.

Student services, including things like academic advising, tutoring, financial aid and counseling will be delivered remotely. Services are available over the phone or via virtual meeting. A complete list of contacts and additional details can be found on our website.
Remote Student Service Options
Anoka-Ramsey Bookstores in Coon Rapids and Cambridge will be open for fall semester book purchasing starting August 3, 2020. To promote safety and limit face-to-face contact, students are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to place book orders online. Online orders can be completed a number of ways:
- Shipped directly to students. NOTE: students will be responsible for shipping costs.
- Prepared for curbside pick-up on campus. Curbside pickup will be available Mon. to Thurs. 8:30 am to 3:30 pm and Friday 8 am to 11 am.
- Prepared for in-store pickup.
