Visiting Student: From Minnesota State Institution

GETTING STARTED

If you are currently a student at another Minnesota State institution, (this does NOT include the University of Minnesota system, see steps at Visiting Student: Non-Minnesota State), and you would like to take a course or two with Anoka-Ramsey, you do not need to apply to Anoka-Ramsey. Follow the steps below:

Admissions Checklist for Visiting Minnesota State Student

  1. Verify Transfer Back to Your Minnesota State Institution

Before registering, verify with your current/home Minnesota State institution how the Anoka-Ramsey course(s) you wish to take will transfer back. Course transfer is determined by the receiving institution.

  2. Log into Your Current/Home Institution’s eServices Account

  3. Select Courses & Registration, and then Search for a Course

If the course has pre-requisites, complete the Pre-Requisite Registration form.

  4. In College/University Dropdown, Select Anoka-Ramsey Community College

  5. Select Course at Anoka-Ramsey, then Click Add button (+) on Left

  6. Click Review My Plan and Register for Course

    Important Notes
    • Visiting students are not eligible for financial aid through Anoka-Ramsey. Check with your current/home Minnesota State intuition regarding financial aid eligibility and the possibility of a Consortium Agreement.
    • You must meet all listed pre-requisites and/or placement levels for the course(s) you wish to register for.
    • You are responsible for acquiring the textbooks and class materials for the course and accessing the appropriate D2L Brightspace and email accounts for your course at Anoka-Ramsey.
