Adult Basic Education (ABE) & English for Academic Purposes (EAP) - Coon Rapids Campus, Fall 2009

ABE classes begin with an Intake Session at 5 p.m. on Tuesday evenings in the Testing Center. Subjects taught include reading enhancement, writing skills, basic math skills, and GED preparation. Classes are held in the Academic Support Center (ASC), room SC 100. The ASC is located on the first floor of the college services building, overlooking the river.

EAP classes are designed for speakers of other languages and students from other countries, no matter what their native language is. EAP is not a basic ESL class. Rather, it is a class to build skills in college-level, American academic writing and vocabulary. Students should attend an Intake Session in the Testing Center at 5 p.m. on any Tuesday before starting the EAP classes. Class is held in the Academic Support Center (ASC).

For more information, contact LeeAnn Triden, ABE instructor, or Kristen Gonzalez, EAP instructor: 763.433.1940.
