and Theatre
Whether you are a seasoned performer or just delight in new opportunities, music and theatre offer something for everyone. Courses are available for credit - either as an elective or to satisfy requirements toward your AFA. These courses are also available as an activity.
College Bands
Play an instrument! Concert Band - MUSC 1106 performs
a wide variety of music, from serious to light,
and is open to any instrumentalist. Jazz Ensemble
- MUSC 1146 performs music from blues and
jazz standards to contemporary instrumental styles, and provides solo improvisation opportunities. Both groups perform in
concerts each semester. Musical Theatre Ensemble - MUSC 1147 provides the musical accompaniment for the winter musical theatre production on the Coon Rapids Campus.

College Choirs
Sing in our choirs! Concert Choir - MUSC 1108 is a mixed choral ensemble, open without audition,
to all students, and performs music from
classical to popular. The Chamber Singers -
MUSC 1148 is a select, small, mixed-voice ensemble.
Open by audition, this group performs vocal chamber
literature, madrigals, pop and jazz. Both groups perform in concerts each
semester.

Act on stage! Cambridge produces at least one play each year, and Coon Rapids produces three. Students taking Practical Experience in Theatre - THTR 1109 are involved in all aspects
of the production (acting, set production, costume
