Academic Advising
Academic Advising services is a great place to start if you are planning to register for classes.
An academic advisor can help you with any of the following:
- The Placement and Assessment Test. All students must take the Placement and Assessment Test. Academic advisors can help you to understand the results of your test and how they should be used to plan your class schedule.
- Choosing Your Classes
- Not sure how to register? Not sure what to register for? We can help! Our advisors can help you to choose classes that you'll need to achieve your goals.
- Choosing a Program or Degree. If you would like to know more about academic programs and degree options available at Anoka-Ramsey, our advisors can provide you with specific information about each program.
- Transferring credits to a different college. The credits you earn at Anoka-Ramsey can be used at other colleges, too. This is called Transfer. Not all credits transfer, however. To determine which credits transfer and which ones do not, you can ask an advisor. When you visit the academic advising services center, ask for a transfer guide. These guides provide specific information about how your classes will transfer to other institutions.
-
