Safety Alerts

Anoka-Ramsey Community College recognizes that people are its most valuable resource and works to assure, as much as possible, that every person has safe, healthful working conditions.

Parking Lots, Driveways and Walkways
  • The speed limit on campus roads is 20 MPH. The suggested speed in our lots is 10 MPH. Our lots are patrolled by campus security and by the Coon Rapids and Cambridge Police. Violators of speed limits and other careless or reckless operation of a motor vehicle are issued citations by the appropriate Police Department. Avoid accidents and always operate your vehicle in a safe and reasonable manner, respecting other vehicle operators. Always consider the driving conditions and weather. When exiting the parking lots from lots one, two or three, on the Coon Rapids campus, always stop behind the stop signs before entering College Drive or the south campus roads that exit onto Mississippi Blvd. On the Cambridge campus, always look for cross traffic as you leave the parking lots and enter onto the main exit roads. Remember, respect each other at all times, including being aware of pedestrians in the marked crosswalks.
  • Please keep your vehicle locked at all times while parked in the college lots. Keep valuables out of sight and report any suspicious activity to security or the information desk:
    • Cambridge Campus 763-433-1840
    • Coon Rapids Campus 763-433-1240.

    • Overflow parking is allowed in the area west of Spirit River Drive. Campus security will patrol this area.
    • No one is authorized to park in the circle (except temporarily in the marked off loading areas) of the new campus addition or on the service road west of this circle. The city of Cambridge will be patrolling these areas ands issuing tickets to violators.
Coon Rapids Campus - North Visitor Lot

    • The security arms in the north visitor lot will normally be in the raised position. If campus activities require the visitor lot to be reserved for special events, security will notify the campus one week in advance, depending on notice given to security by the user and by e-mail.

Coon Rapids Campus - South East and North Lot
    • Open to general parking on a first come first served basis.
