New Students

If this is your first online course, we strongly encourage you to attend one of the free Training sessions.

Initial Login Information

Note: If logging in to Desire 2 Learn before the first day of your class, the course will NOT be associated to your account, even if you have already registered for the course. Courses will be added on the first day of the semester.

To login to Desire 2 Learn, your username is your Student Tech ID, and your default password will be one of the following:

  1. Birthdate in YYMMDD format (i.e. 800105, for January 5, 1980)
  2. The last six digits of your social security number
  3. If neither of the above are in the student registration system, the default password will be blank (do not enter a password for initial login).

Students will be able to login into D2L 25 days before the semester starts, but not access their courses until the first date of the semester.

FREE Metnet Email Account

All online students are required to have a free Metnet email account. All students of Anoka-Ramsey Community College can request a free email account through Metnet.
