| In the spirit
of higher education for the community,
the Cambridge Wal-Mart recently provided
a donation of $1,000 to the Cambridge
Campus Foundation of Anoka-Ramsey Community
College. This donation matched funds raised
during an Anoka-Ramsey Community College
fundraiser that took place earlier this
year at the College’s Cambridge
Campus Dinner Theatre.
The donation will be used by the Cambridge
Campus Foundation to provide scholarships
that give students the opportunity to
attend the Cambridge Campus of Anoka-Ramsey
Community College.
Co-Managers Tony Reed and Grant Wilsey
of the Cambridge Wal-Mart store presented
the donation June 25, 2003, to Cambridge
Campus Foundation Chair Al Nelson and
Executive Assistant Lynnette Brambrink
at the Cambridge Wal-Mart store.
Wilsey said, “We like to help out
local education because the Cambridge
[Campus] is a great asset to our community.
A lot of kids who work at Wal-Mart go
to school there, and any way we can help
them, we want to do that. We think helping
out our education community makes our
entire community a better place.”
