The tenth annual dessert
and appetizer tasting event, “Prairie
Home Delights,” will be on Thursday,
September 25, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
This year’s event is sponsored by
Wells Fargo and proceeds from the event
are distributed by the Anoka-Ramsey Community
College Foundation. This year’s
theme is “Give to Grow” in
memoriam of Mitch Gast, Foundation President
who passed away unexpectedly this past
January. The Anoka-Ramsey Community College
Foundation’s “Prairie Home
Delights” helps provide students
with scholarships, faculty with grants
to enhance the classroom experience, and
new equipment for the college.
“Give to Grow” will feature
delicious appetizers and desserts from
eleven different area restaurants including:
Acapulco Mexican Restaurant and Cantina,
Bennigan’s, DeLisi’s, Great
Harvest Bread Company, Hops Restaurant
and Brewery, Kowloon, Majestic Oaks, Minnesota
Viking Food Service, Retha and Sandy’s
Sweet Shop, Serum’s, and Sodexho.
Tickets are $25.00 per person ($15.00
is tax deductible).
Students also partake in the event through
live music, artwork and volunteering.
Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy
the Mississippi River along with a perfect
view of the sunset from the college’s

of the evening while benefiting local
students through bidding on a variety
of silent auction items throughout the
