Anoka-Ramsey Community College Honors Outstanding Students

Faculty, staff and students at Anoka-Ramsey Community College Coon Rapids Campus gathered to honor student achievement at this year’s Student Awards Ceremony May 5 in the Performing Arts Center.

Eleven students were recognized for their efforts in campus activities ranging from acting to student government. Twenty-nine students earned recognition for achievements in specific academic disciplines.

Closing out the evening, two students were honored for overall achievement. The Outstanding Freshman Award went to Jessica Nelson of Ham Lake, Minn. She also took home the award for Student Newspaper Contributor of the Year. The Outstanding Sophomore Award went to Annette Von Vett of Wyoming, Minn. She also earned the title of Chemistry Student of the Year.
