Anoka-Ramsey Community College Moves Printed Course Schedule Online

Just in time for Earth Day, Anoka-Ramsey Community College is no longer producing a printed course schedule. The move from a printed publication to an online version not only keeps the schedule up-to date, it saves printing and paper costs, uses less resources, which is better for the environment, and responds to research that shows students have been using fewer printed schedules each semester.

Students can view and register for classes online

Responding to the changing needs of students and the environment, Anoka-Ramsey Community College is no longer printing its course schedule. Students can view and register for classes online at one of the numerous kiosks located at both campuses.

To accommodate this change to an online format beginning with the fall 2008 schedule, free wireless access is now available at both the Cambridge Campus and Coon Rapids Campus. Students are invited to use college computers to view the course schedule and to register. Computers are located in the college computer labs, college libraries and various kiosks. All public libraries also offer free computer availability.

At the Cambridge Campus, computer/printer kiosks are located outside the Bookstore, across from Records and Registration, in the Advising area and in the Financial Aid area.

At the Coon Rapids Campus, computer/printer kiosks are located outside the Bookstore and in the Counseling and Advising area.

To further assist new students, Anoka-Ramsey has developed a user-friendly reference called, “Seven Steps to a Successful Start.” Located on the college Web site "Future Student" page, the resource provides direct links to:

  1. Apply for Admissions
  2. Apply for Financial Aid (if needed)
  3. Take Placement Test
  4. Complete Orientation
  5. Register for Classes
  6. Pay Tuition
  7. Buy Books
