Dean of Continuing Education and Customized Training Selected for Award by National Council

Anoka-Ramsey Community College Dean of Continuing Education and Customized Training, Rosie Mortenson was recently selected by the National Council for Continuing Education and Training for the Great Lakes Regional Leadership Award. Mortenson was selected from numerous top-notch nominations, according to the council.

Anoka-Ramsey Community College Dean of Continuing Education and Customized Training, Rosie Mortenson (left) recently traveled to Louisville, Ky. to accept the Great Lakes Regional Leadership Award bestowed upon her by her peers at National Council for Continuing Education and Training.

The recognition acknowledges Mortenson’s impact on a significant number of people and institutions in the region and in the areas of community services, workforce development, continuing education and learning technologies. In her role as dean, Mortenson serves as the lead person responsible for the overall programs and services of Continuing Education and Customized Training and as Dean of Biomedical programs, Integrative Health and Healing and Geographic Information Systems.

“I am honored to have received this award for my work in the biomedical device industry both locally and nationally,” says Mortenson. “Our highly-skilled team provides the expertise to deliver these services every day to students and to our business partners. Minnesota is fortunate to have a large base of medical device companies that has continued to be an economic driver of new innovative industries. “

Mortenson’s award was announced at this year’s national conference in Louisville, Ky. in early October. She has received calls from her peers from around the country congratulating her on this noteworthy achievement.
