Student Enrollment Continues to Rise at Anoka-Ramsey Community College

Once again Anoka-Ramsey Community College has proven to be the college of choice for students. Overall enrollment at the college has increased 4.4 percent this fall as compared to last fall term at the 30-day mark. The bulk of the increase is found in returning students, which increased 7.6 percent. Collectively, 7,866 students are currently attending the college.

Anoka-Ramsey Community College students (shown at the annual fall picnic) have increased by 4.4 percent comparing total headcount of fall 2006 with that of fall 2007.

“Anoka-Ramsey has been providing quality, cost-effective higher education for more than 40 years,” says Dr. Patrick Johns, President of Anoka-Ramsey Community College. “The increase in enrollment, particularly in returning students, highlights the college’s continual ability to offer programs and partnerships that meet the ever-increasing need for education and training in the area.”

The most recent additions to the college’s program offerings include: a fitness specialist program, an associate in fine arts degree in theatre and bachelor of science degrees in special education through Minnesota State University Moorhead at the Cambridge Campus.
