Anoka-Ramsey Community College annual fundraiser, Prairie Home Delights set for Thursday, Sept. 27, 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the National Sports Center in Blaine, Minn. includes the chance to bid on items, such as the ones shown here for patio enjoyment: a patio heater, a patio fireplace, a bucket of garden tools, a copper bird feeder and a large crate of margarita supplies.

All education supporters are invited to join the fun, Thursday, Sept. 27, 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the National Sports Center in Blaine, Minn. The event includes a silent and live auction, music and mingling, delicious hors d’oeuvres, entrée and dessert samples served by 25 area restaurants, and coffee and wine tasting.
The auctions will include numerous interesting items for good-spirited bidding, such as:
- a pig to be roasted
- dinner for eight cooked by two Foundation board members
- theme baskets that include items for a “Romantic Evening,” remembering Marilyn Monroe items, enjoying mystery audio books, entertaining kids with arts projects, restocking the garage, working in the garden, fortifying with tea and compliments, and indulging in margaritas
- patio items, such as a heater, a fireplace, copper bird feeders
- art, including a print by Penni Anne Cross titled, “Billie Hears the Rain”
- jewelry items from Gould's Jewelers, including an expensive necklace
Thanks to events fundraising efforts such as this one, more than $130,000 will be awarded in scholarships to more than 130 ARCC students in 2007-08.
So have a great time and support higher education. Tickets are $40 each.
