| The immensely popular Anoka-Ramsey Community College (ARCC) Coon Rapids Campus Foundation fundraiser, Prairie Home Delights, Thursday, Sept. 27, 6 to 8:30 p.m., is expected to be better than ever this year. The event has two new sponsors, Mercy & Unity Hospitals; will be held off-campus for the first time at the National Sports Center in Blaine; and, as an added bonus, will feature wine-tasting to accompany other crowd-drawing activities. |
In an open house atmosphere, attendees can expect to enjoy a fun-filled evening, complete with silent and live auctions, music, mingling, and delicious hors d’oeuvres, entrée and dessert samples served by 25 area restaurants. Advance tickets are $35 each through Friday, Sept. 14, and $40 each afterwards.
Past events have offered up many great items for bids, including:
- Gift certificates to restaurants, stores, entertainment, hotel accommodations, trips, resorts
- Theme baskets for fishing, aroma therapy, wine, pets, children, crafts, gardening
- Athletic, theater, drama and music event tickets
- Tools, jewelry, furniture, home decorating pieces, office items
