Anoka-Ramsey Community College (ARCC) student and father of nine children, Griswold won a TREK 820 bicycle at the ARCC Coon Rapids Campus. Ward, a Cambridge resident, won a TREK 3500 bicycle at the ARCC Cambridge Campus.
Other raffle winners included: "Veiled Flowers” framed print to Mary Jacobson; a DVD player to Mary Kessler; two Scholardazzle tickets to Maureen O'Neill, a MnSCU Foundation board member; a "Moose on the Lake" framed print to Jan Oxendale; and a "Marian Gaborik-Minnesota Wild" to Diane Syverson.
Erickson’s 2,300-mile, month-long ride, which began at the ARCC Coon Rapids Campus, is an annual event intended to bring awareness to the financial needs of part-time students. The event raised a total of $792 for part-time students at Anoka-Ramsey Community College: $426 for the Coon Rapids Campus and $366 for the Cambridge Campus. All proceeds will help fund the $500 Bob Erickson Part-Time Student Scholarship for 2008-09.
The bicycles were generously donated by Outdoor Edge in Cambridge, Minn. and Ramsey Bicycle in Ramsey, Minn.
