In this crucial position, Bakken will manage the Small Business Development Center activities for the Cambridge Campus and Coon Rapids Campus; provide college-sponsored continuing education opportunities to communities served by the Cambridge Campus; manage two Minnesota Job Skills Partnership Grants that partners the college and the community; and develop and manage business learning partnerships and community-sponsored customized training.
Bakken will also represent the Cambridge Campus within the community through alliances with organizations such as: Cambridge Chamber of Commerce, Princeton Chamber of Commerce, North Branch Chamber of Commerce, Isanti Chamber of Commerce, East Central MN Workforce Partnership and the Workforce Centers in Blaine and Cambridge.
Bakken holds a bachelor’s in arts in sociology and psychology from Hamline University and a master’s degree in adult and community education from the College of St. Thomas
