Annual College Chip In for Education Golf Tournament Set for July 31

Chip, bogie and birdie at the 16th annual Anoka-Ramsey Community College (ARCC) Coon Rapids Campus Foundation Chip In For Education Golf Tourney, Tuesday, July 31 at Majestic Oaks Golf Club in Ham Lake, Minn. and help raise funds for ARCC student scholarships. Festivities begin at 12:30 p.m. with registration for carts and hole assignments, followed by a roaring shotgun start at 1 p.m. to launch teams into 18-holes of golf with a best-ball scramble.

Coon Rapids Plymouth Chrysler Jeep is offering a one-year lease of a Jeep to the person with the first hole-in-one at this year’s ARCC Coon Rapids Campus Chip In for Education Golf Tournament July 31. The tournament is sponsored by the ARCC Coon Rapids Campus Foundation and the law firm of Barna, Guzy and Steffen (BGS). The purpose of the event is to raise funds for the foundation’s scholarship program at ARCC. More than $120,000 in scholarships are awarded annually to more than 120 ARCC students.

Players can register individually for $115 or as a foursome for $460. The registration fee includes the course fee, cart and barbeque dinner. Additional dinner guests can be registered for $20 per person. Businesses seeking to both promote their services or products and support education can sponsor a promotional tee sign for $200 per sign.

Along with the great feeling of helping students succeed, participants receive an afternoon of golf, a barbecue dinner and chances to win valuable prizes, such as a one-year new car lease for the first hole-in-one offered by Coon Rapids Plymouth Chrysler Jeep or $10,000 for the second hole-in-one offered by the Ameriprise Financial. Prizes will be awarded at the barbeque dinner beginning at 6:30 p.m.
