Golfers! Take a Swing for College Scholarships

Golfers can help raise funds for the Anoka-Ramsey Community College (ARCC) Cambridge Campus students by swinging their clubs in the upcoming Foundation Golf Tournament. The annual nine-hole tournament is set for a 2 p.m. shotgun start, Wednesday, May 23 at the Deer Meadows Golf Course in Cambridge, Minn.

After the shotgun start, teams will proceed in best-ball foursomes, vying for trophy prizes for first place in Men’s, Women’s and Mixed. And the lucky golfer who lands a ball inside a hula hoop target in the “Hoop It Up” competition will take home $500.
Registration is $60 per person or $240 for a four-person team. The fee includes 9-holes of golf, a barbecue dinner and a raffle/auction.

Local merchants are stepping up with prizes and services including items such as:

  • a piloted flight from All-American Aviation
  • a stay at AmericInn Lodge and Suites
  • two $50 gift certificates from Becker Furniture World
  • four Twins ticket vouchers
  • movie passes from Cambridge Cinema
  • a savings bond from Cambridge State Bank
  • a photography session at Carlson Studio of Photography
  • and more

As well as playing, businesses and participants are invited to sponsor a tee. For only $50, tee sponsorships provide great exposure to potential clients.

No matter what level of participation, all proceeds will fund scholarships for students at the ARCC Cambridge Campus.
