Scholardazzle Event Makes Magic for Scholarships at Anoka-Ramsey Community College

The January 2007 Scholardazzle event, the annual fundraiser at Anoka-Ramsey Community College (ARCC) Cambridge Campus, raised $11,200. The amount breaks last year’s record of $8,300 and provides an infusion of funds toward ARCC Cambridge Campus student scholarships.

The Cambridge Community College Foundation, the event’s sponsor, welcomed more than 100 guests, each of whom were treated to dinner by Spectacular Events of Isanti, which contributed $3,100 as an in-kind donation, and an interactive performance by magician Kristoffer Olson.

People enjoy a magic show at the Cambridge Campus Foundation annual Scholardazzle event More than 100 people enjoyed a magic show at the Anoka-Ramsey Community College Cambridge Campus annual Scholardazzle event while raising a record-breaking $11,200 for student scholarships.

“I think everyone had a good time,” says the Foundation’s executive assistant, Lynnette Brambrink. “And the magician was truly magical.”

Along with dinner and a show, Scholardazzle attendees had the opportunity to take part in a raffle and silent and live auctions for the chance to win or bid on choice goods and services donated by area organizations and individuals. As an added bonus, there was a sneak preview of the new 34,000 sq. ft. Cambridge Campus addition scheduled for occupancy in Fall 2007.
