Anoka-Ramsey Community College Student Art Contributes Unique Gifts to Giving Season

Anoka-Ramsey Community College (ARCC) art students displayed and sold their artistic creations to community members and ARCC staff and faculty at the biannual student art sale Dec. 6 and 7. The sale, on the Coon Rapids Campus, offered original wares just in time for the holiday gift-giving season.
Anoka-Ramsey Community College Student Art Contributes Unique Gifts to Giving Season Art enthusiasts and Anoka-Ramsey Community College art students gather and mingle during annual student art sale Dec. 6 and 7.

“The sale is a wonderful opportunity for the community to see what takes place in the Art department at Anoka-Ramsey Community College,” says art faculty Mark Lambert. “Not only does the art work make a perfect gift, the Art Club plans to donate 10% of all sales this year to the Coon Rapids Foundation for a scholarship.”

ARCC offers a variety of art classes, including drawing, ceramics, sculpture, painting, photography, design, glassblowing and more. Classes focus on the creativity and technical proficiency necessary for the development of professional quality art.

ARCC also offers an associate of fine art (AFA) degree in art that provides students with extensive studio experience and a solid grounding in art history and visual theory. The program incorporates the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum, facilitating easy transfer to four-year institutions.
