Community support for
Anoka-Ramsey Community College’s
Cambridge Campus is revealed once again
through a $2000 donation from East Central
Energy. The donation was specifically
made to the College’s Kid U —
college for kids program.
According to Kid U Program Director
LeAnn Snidarich, the $2,000 from East
Central Energy will be used to provide
scholarships for children of financial
need to attend the Kid U program in Cambridge.
Students who are eligible to receive free
lunches can receive a scholarship up to
a maximum of $50.
Families with more than two children
participating in the program are eligible
for a family scholarship maximum of $150
to be applied to any of the classes offered
in Cambridge Aug. 4 - 7 and Aug. 7 - 11.
Students who are eligible to receive reduced
lunches can receive a scholarship up to
a maximum of $40. Families with more than
two children participating in the program
are eligible for a family scholarship
maximum of $120.
Kid U is designed to provide children
and teenagers an opportunity for learning
success in a college environment. A wide
variety of programming including visual
arts, performing arts, science, math,
culinary arts, cultures and languages,
literature and law are offered. Register
early as classes fill quickly.
Snidarich explains that the program
“uses innovative, hands-on learning
to help children feel successful in a
college environment. We do our best to
make learning fun and exciting."
