Free, community welcome, noon Thursdays
The Cambridge Campus of Anoka-Ramsey Community College kicked off its inaugural run of “The Open Door” speakers series, Oct. 5, with Mike Mueller of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. The speaker series is designed to be an informal dialogue between students, faculty, staff, and the greater community, will run for five more Thursdays, noon to 12:45 p.m.
Featured presentations coming up include:
- October 9: Honors Students attending this year's Nobel Conference at Gustavus Adolphus report back on their adventures.
- October 26: Representatives of the Student Government "Get Out the Vote."
- November 2: Biologist Mary Januschka presents her research on eating patterns and exercise medicine.
- November 9: Phi Theta Kappa students address recycling issues.
- November 16: A student success panel addresses how to complete (and survive) an academic research paper.
All talks take place on Thursdays at noon in the Cambridge Campus Center Food Court. The talks, sponsored by the Cambridge Honors Program, are free and the public is welcome to attend.
