“You Can’t Take it With You”
In this wildly funny, Pulitzer-Prize-winning play, an apparently hare-brained family in the 1930's depression era seem to ignore the normal pursuit of making a living and paying taxes until their daughter falls in love with a young man from a wealthy, straight-laced and sensible family. After explosions in the basement, a raid from the Justice Department, and a breakup between the lovers, everyone discovers that love and personal fulfillment are more important than material wealth and the trappings that go with it.
