Wells Fargo has donated $3,000 to
the Anoka-Ramsey Community College
Foundation as a corporate sponsor of
the fall fundraising gala Prairie Home
Delights, open to the public on Thursday,
October 12, 6-8:30 p.m. on the Coon
Rapids Campus. Gorham Builders are
also a corporate sponsor at the $1,500
level.
The event is organized by the Foundation
to raise funds for student scholarships,
faculty grants to enhance the classroom
experience, and new equipment for the
college.
This 13th annual fundraiser will feature
the theme “Building for Education.” The
theme highlights the college’s
ongoing commitment to excellent teaching
and learning. The evening’s festivities
will include a bountiful buffet of
appetizers, desserts, soups, and entrees,
as well as a silent auction of more
than 100 choice goods and gift certificates.
A special feature of the evening will
be Col. Tony Elfelt leading a live
auction of select items valued at more
than $500. All auction items are provided
by area businesses.
"Wells Fargo and Gorham Builders’ leadership
support contributes immensely to the
success of Prairie Home Delights and
ultimately, our students," says
ARCC Foundation Executive Director,
Evelyn Gedde. "This is the largest
fund-raising event in support of the
Foundation's mission. It impacts the
lives of students who may not otherwise
be able to afford college."
Featured restaurants that will provide
delicacies for the event include Acapulco
Mexican Restaurante, Bella, Biaggi’s
Italian Ristorante, Billy’s Bar & Grill,
Carol’s Restaurant, Hankering’s
Bar & Grill, Jensen’s Foods,
