New Coach Re-Energizes Men’s Basketball Team at Anoka-Ramsey Community College

The men’s basketball team at Anoka-Ramsey Community College (ARCC) will boast talented new leadership this fall as new Head Basketball Coach Bill McKee prepares them for the coming season. McKee came on board at ARCC in May, and has been working on recruitment for the team.

McKee has 19 years experience coaching basketball at the collegiate and high school levels in Minnesota. Most recently, he served as head basketball coach for Blaine Senior High School. In past years, he worked as head coach at Cretin-Derham Hall, and as assistant coach at the University of St. Thomas. While at St. Thomas, the men’s basketball team won four division championships, and in 1994, reached the NCAA Division III Final Four. McKee has a master’s in Educational Psychology from the University of St. Thomas, and a bachelor’s in Sociology with a minor in Coaching from the College of St. Thomas.

“I look forward to building on the strengths of Anoka-Ramsey’s fine basketball program and helping the team excel,” McKee says.

The Men’s Basketball home game schedule for ARCC’s coming season is as follows:

  • Monday, November 13 - 8 p.m. Grace College
  • Friday, November 24 - 7 p.m. Milwaukee Area Technical College
  • Saturday, November 25 - 3 p.m. North Iowa Area Community College
  • Saturday, December 2 - 3 p.m. Central Lakes Community College
  • Saturday, January 6 - 3 p.m. Minneapolis Community and Technical College
  • Saturday, January 13 - 3 p.m. Rochester Community and Technical College
  • Wednesday, January 24 - 8 p.m. Riverland Community College
  • Saturday, January 27 - 3 p.m. Minnesota State Community and Technical College-Fergus Falls
  • Saturday, February 3 - 3 p.m. Minnesota West Community and Technical College
  • Saturday, February 10 - 3 p.m. Ridgewater College
