Anoka-Ramsey Community
College will host an International Symposium
on World Poverty and Sustainable Development,
Oct. 30, to cultivate concrete ideas for
a global action plan that integrates policies

These ideas will be brought to an international
meeting — scheduled for June 2004
in Berlin, Germany — that 80 countries
are expected to participate in.
The Symposium will take place at the
Coon Rapids Campus of Anoka-Ramsey Community
College and the public is welcome to join
the discussion. Scheduled participants
include Bill Fletcher, President of TransAfrica
Forum; Kathy Tinglestad, Minnesota State
Representative; Ken Pentel, Green Party
2002 Gubernatorial Candidate; Marianne
Cerilli, Community Activist; Hans-Josef
